I'm a first generation Chinese American Artist, born in the Inland Empire, California. My parents immigrated to the US in the 80s, and became immersed in the healthcare field. They always supported me through encouragement, but they didn't know much about art. So although I formed an interest at a young age, I didn't have much of an artistic practice or influence until attending Riverside Community College in 2013, and later at California Institute of the Arts in 2015.

For five years I've been working as a freelance 2D animator and illustrator. And in my free time I make oil paintings and work on my own animated film.

My work is often driven by observation of my environment and family history, in search to understand the past. In doing so, I hope to express the internal struggles of my characters' experiences, and find a sense of camaraderie through allegorizing similarities that resonate across generational gaps.
